Joe A. Gonsalves Elementary School
Est. May 23, 1973

Gonsalves Elementary School is named after a very prominent community member, Joe A. Gonsalves. He was a councilman, mayor of dairy Valley and went on to become a highly respected assemblyman of the 66th District (Cerritos area). The school annually celebrates Joe A. Gonsalves Day in June and he graciously attended each year until he passed away on July 7, 2000.

He was extremely proud of the school tradition of academic excellence and Joe A. Gonsalves School takes pride in upholding his reputation for respect and responsibility.

Joe A. Gonsalves School was built on a 10-acre site in the northeast section of Cerritos, CA. and was formally dedicated on May 23, 1973. The school was constructed in an open-face design to permit maximum flexibility and team teaching. The school underwent extensive modernization during the summer of 2001.

"Joe A. Gonsalves & Son is a highly respected firm that has proven to be an invaluable advocate on behalf of our City, particularly on fiscal/budgetary issues, and local control concerns."

About Us

Our firm operates on a very personal and professional level, always working hard to accomplish our clients' goals which is reflected in my father's lead words in an LA Times article regarding lobbyists; "Lobbyists are like parachutes. You don't need them very often, but when you need them, they'd better work."
